  • The Lafayette catalog calls this model A-25 GENERAL EUROPEAN 6 tube Super Het with metal tubes. We count only 5 tubes because the 6th is a ballast tube. Wave length is 175 to 550 meters and 850 to 2000 meters for the long wave band. Three-gang condenser to tune a pre-selector stage. "The large airplane dial is clearly calibrated and easy to read too."

The model Lafayette A-24 is listed at $ 35.90 but the Lafayette price is $ 17.95 including tubes. The same chassis - except for long wave (850 to 2000 meter range) instead short wave - is called Lafayette A-25 GENERAL EUROPEAN with list price of $ 37.90 but Lafayette price $ 18.95. Available is a 220 volt adapter for $ 1.00. See details for the models of this catalog or summaries.
