  • Notes
  • In response to a definite demand for an amplifier capable of universal operation, that is, operation on either a.c. or d.c. (110-volts), Auburn has developed this high-quality unit. Its uses are many and varied in those localities where direct current is still supplied as a commercial source, or where an isolated plant furnishes the current supply.

Three tubes are used in the circuit. These are: 1-6C6 pentode, 1-43 pentode power output tube, and 1-25Z5 rectifier. Tone quality is exceptionally fine for this type of amplifier, and components used in its construction are designed to provide ample safety factor under all normal conditions of use. This means that continuous, trouble-free service is assured.

The entire assembly is mounted on a metal chassis that is small enough to be housed in a portable carrying case or small cabinet because space has been provided on chassis for speaker. Dimensions: 12" long. 7¼" high and 6½ " deep. Overall finish in lustrous rubber-black lacquer. For 110-volt operation only. Available for 220-volt and 250-volt operation on special order at slightly higher price.
