- Notes
- The Lafayette "custom built 6 tube superhet model B-92 has been made in different versions. Rider's 10-20 shows a model B92(K)Early under Lafayette Radio MFG. CO. and a B92 Late in 14-61 and 14-62 under Lafayette Radio - Radio Wire Television Inc. (see sometimes under "R"). On first sight they seem to be pretty much the same. There must be more subversions. The Lafayette catalog no. 68 for Spring/Summer 1937 is probably showing the early version as simply B-92 (with hyphen) but until we have not more information we list both for this catalog.
The catalog: "Wave range 190 to 560 meters. Class "B" output. Automatic bass compensation, sensitivity control with two-point adjustment. Remote airplane type control can be adapted to practically any make of car. Built in filter circuit does away with spark-plug suppressors. Tone control, automatic volume control, one-hole mounting. Finished in black wrinkle with chrome grille. Current consumption 8 amperes." Listprice less control mounting kit is $ 59.00 and Lafayette price $ 29.50. Mounting plates, dials and knobs are supplied for $ 1.00. See details and summaries for the Lafayette catalog no. 68.
