- The Spring-Summer catalog 1931 offers this model Monarch Mantel with 245 push-pull output. It has "Automatic Variable Coupling" (not control!) which can probably be the expression for the movement of the tuning condenser with a continuous movement of the coils. The model has tone control and 4 knobs. Not to be confused with the later model C-36 from catalog no. 65, page 1 for 1936/37.
This Mantel Lafayette TRS has a list price of $ 62.50 and a Lafayette selling price of $ 36.45 or $ 29.50 without tubes or $ 38.67 with RCA tubes. The chassis alone is $ 25.95. See details and summaries in this catalog.
