In engineering circles the commonly accepted limits of high fidelity reproduction is from 30 to 15,000 cycles. This new amplifier greatly exceeds these specifications and covers a frequency range from 20 to 17,000 cycles. This makes it ideal for use in laboratory measuring instruments for which purpose many of the previous models are in use today.  

It is also an excellent amplifier for use in high-fidelity P.A. systems and phono-record reproducers. The advantages of push-pull amplification throughout the three stages are obtained by the use of a type 53 tube as phase inverter. This is followed by a pair of 56's driving a pair of 6B5's. An 83 rectifier is used. A gain of 85.7 db is realized with a power output into a 500 ohm load of 15 watts. 

Two types of output transformers are available. The diference between the two being in the frequency response obtained. A glance at the curves shown herewith will make this clear. Output impedances are .7 to 15 and 250-500 ohms.
