Employing the amplifier described above (244-A), Lafayette engineers have assembled a portable system that is ideal for lecturers, demonstrators, small orchestras, and other users of low-powered systems of convenient portability. Fitted with a full 10-inch dynamic speaker, it provides volume and quality of reproduction that amazes listeners. The speaker is built into the cover, which provides an unusually large baffle area. It can be placed on the floor or hung by the handle; 25 feet of rubber covered cable is included. Setting up and taking down the system is a matter of minutes, and can be done by any non-technical person. 

Both speaker and amplifier are housed in a single carrying case measuring only 13" by 9" by 14¾" high. The case is finished in the new "airplane" cloth in light tan with dark striping. Four heavy snap locks hold the sections securely together. The overall ccnstruction is very rugged, and this amplifier will readily withstand the hard knocks of portable service. The small illustration below shows how the two sections of the case separate.
