  • The Marconi TF2300 is a wide‑range FM/AM modulation meter designed for laboratory, broadcast, and service‑shop applications where accurate measurement of carrier deviation and modulation depth is required. It combines a broadband RF input system with precision IF processing to provide stable, repeatable readings across a large frequency span.

    RF Input & Frequency Coverage

    • Accepts carrier frequencies from approximately 4 MHz to 1000 MHz.
    • Utilises a broadband front‑end with switched preselection to maintain sensitivity and minimise spurious responses.
    • Provides 50 Ω input impedance with calibrated input level ranges.

    FM Measurement System

    • Employs a limiter/discriminator IF chain to extract frequency deviation.
    • Offers selectable IF bandwidths to optimise performance for narrowband or broadcast‑grade FM.
    • Provides direct deviation readout with selectable scales for typical communications and broadcast standards.

    AM Measurement System

    • Measures amplitude modulation depth using a precision envelope detector.
    • Supports AM carriers up to roughly 350 MHz.
    • Includes selectable time constants for tone, voice, and telemetry applications.

    Oscillator Facilities

    • Incorporates an internal oscillator system for IF alignment and calibration.
    • Accepts an external oscillator input for specialised measurement setups or higher‑stability requirements.
