The TF2303 is a mid‑series variant of the Marconi TF2300 family, intended for alignment and testing of VHF/UHF transmitters up to 520 MHz. It uses a manually tuned broadband RF front end feeding a 400 kHz IF strip with FM limiter/discriminator and AM envelope detector. FM deviation is read on a calibrated meter with selectable ranges; AM depth is measured by the precision detector chain. A demodulated AF output is provided for audio monitoring or external measurement. The instrument is mains powered and built in a metal bench case typical of Marconi test equipment of the late 1960s–early 1970s.
