  • Anotaciones
  • F. G. Mason Radio Receiver with spectrum display A-2.  Wideband receiver with modular construction, covering 2 kHz - 1.2 / 2 GHz.

    Components:

    • Basic Unit A-2: IF stage, Demodulator, AF stage and S-meter
    • IF Unit LFB-1: IF stage, used for up conversion of the signal of the VLF / LF tuners (TLF-Tuners)  to the IF of 23.5 MHz.
    • Battery pack BP-3: Fourteen batteries (Mallory RM-12R) provide more battery power than the internal batteries of the A-2.  Working hours are increased from 35 to 120 hours.
    • Power supply PS-2AC: The set can be powered from different voltages from 95 - 250 Volts.  The power supply is mounted with a screw to the basic unit.
    • VLF/HF-Tuners TLF-* : Six VLF / HF tuners cover the frequency range 2 - 4500 kHz, always in connection to the IF unit LFB-1 for up conversion to the first IF of 23.5 MHz. The tuners come with color coded ferrite antennas.
    • HF/VHF/UHF-Tuners T-* : All front ends for high frequencies are directly connected to the basic unit without the LFB-1.  Different telescopic antennas are connected to the tuner units based on the frequency range.
    • Panoramic spectrum display S-1: The spectrum display is used for visual control of a part of the frequency spectrum.  Different sweep widths are provided.  Two additional batteries (RM-12R) need to be installed in the display unit to heat the display tube.
