  • The Mercury Radio Co. HG-7 shortwave receiver is a superheterodyne covering 15 to 200 meters with plug-in coils. The receiver includes a preselector stage and AVC.

    The receiver has "...a really novel coil-changing arrangement. This arrangement permits plug-in efficiency without changing individula coils." These were a set of three coils ganged in a shielded box, and to change coils, the entire box was removed and replaced by another.

    The HG-7 was available as a kit ($52.50) or wired ($72.50).
