  • British Army Portable Tranceiver. Transmitter and receiver separated into two units, but only work when connected together.

    The power is supplied by 2 batteries. The L.T. battery (1.5 volts) is carried in the bottom of the receiver and is used by both units. The H.T. battery (90 volts) also incorporates a 7.5 volt bias battery and is mounted in the bottom of the transmitter.

    Operating modes Telephony (A3) and telegraphy (A1) (morse) ,
    Receiver can be tuned in the ranges 2.0 - 4.5 MHz and 4.5 - 10.0 MHz, transmitter 4 quartz - controlled frequencies (plug - in quartz on the front panel) in the range 2.0 - 10.0 MHz.
    Rod antennas and long-wire antennas, transmitter power 0.6 - 0.95 W Morse (A1), 0.16 - 0.35 W for Speach (A3).
