The Wireless Set No.33 designed in 1940 is in fact a Wireless Set No.12 driving a 250 W RF amplifier mounted on top of it in one common cabinet. It comes with a mains power supply which is as heavy as the transmitter part and could be used on vehicles or as ground station.
Due to problems with cooling the selenium rectifiers of the ower supply at high temperatures outside, there was one modification with with a perforated metal that kept the lid open with an angle of 30° for cooling and another variant with a cooling fan.
