  • Trasmettitore BC-191: Refurbished U.S. HF transmitter BC-191, AM/CW, 200 kHz to 12.5 MHz in several bands, according to the tuning unit plugged into. For frequency details see the entries of each tuning unit: TU-5, TU-6, TU-7, TU-8, TU-9, TU-10, TU-22, TU-26. 50 to 75W, depending upon the frequency band. Requires external dynamotor.
After WWII Italian military forces made use of surplus communication equipment left by Allied troops. In some cases the sets were modified with the replacement of English labels with Italian ones on the panel. Sets were anyway built by US manufacturers, but several Italian contractors overhauled lots of transmitters, adding Italian inscriptions. Sometimes the original labels, with the exact model reference, were retained. In other cases original labels were replaced by new ones with generic model indication.
