    Transmitter CW, MCW, AM; frequency range 5 - 7.3 MHz, 6.2 MHz crystal for dial alignment.

    Needs modulator unit BC-456-A for plate voltage supply and as modulator stage; cannot be operated as standalone transmitter.

    Remote control by radio control box BC-451-A.

    Used for short range aircraft communications between different aircraft and between aircraft and control tower; part of radio installation in U.S. aircraft like B-17, B-24.
