• Frequency range of the BC-1306 transmitter and receiver is 3,8 MHz to 6,5 MHz AM/CW. The sensitivity of the receiver and the output power of the transmitter can be switched to low, medium or high. The receiver has a crystal-calibrator with 200 kHz calibrating-points; and it has a netting control to adjust the receive frequency to the transmit frequency. A crystal-controlled transmitting-frequency can be achieved by choosing one of the two crystals that can be inserted at the front. The quality of CW-signals in de crystal-mode is much better than in the vfo-mode.
  The complete SRC-694 radio unit includes many extra items such as a separate power supply, spare tubes, spare crystals, headsets, microphone, antenna parts, counterpoises, handgenerator, morse key, cords, bags, etc.
  Because of the limited frequency-range this set covers, further development led to the radio set AN/GRC-9 around 1950, a larger look-alike that covers 2,0-12 MHz AM/CW in 3 bands.
  For amateur-use in the 80 meter band the BC-1306 is easily retuned from 3,8 to 3,7 MHz.
