Mobile transmitter

Small 3-band transmitter designed for operation in a vehicle.

1.8, 3.5 and 7 MHz amateur bands.
VFO or crystal control.
(Insertion of a crystal into the panel socket disables the VFO)
Max power input 20W.

Series tuned VFO feeding a tuned buffer stage driving two tetrodes in parallel. Pi-section output circuit. All intermediate circuits are broadband tuned.

Anode and screen modulation of the RF amplifier by two tetrode valves in push-pull driven by a two stage preamplifier with input for a crystal microphone.

A mobile control box to control the transmitter from the driver's seat provides input and output monitoring, HT control, netting switch and aerial changeover relay.
Control box dimensions: 7 x 3 x 3 ins (178 x 76.2 x 76.2 mm)

Power requirements 200-300v DC at 100 mA and 12.6v at 2A.

Manufacturers notes on this transmitter indicate the use of 4 x NAQ5 valves but it is believed they had intended to use 6AQ5 valves.
