  • The Monarch PRE-301 is a monaural preamplifier with an RCA jack each for input for Tape or Phono and for Output.  It has a phono-tape switch but no on-off switch.  It is continually powered when plugged in and uses an incandescent pilot bulb one side of which is connected to the power line.  The transistors inside are Germanium PNP, one each 2SB400 and 2SB303.
