  • Notes
  • Motorola A.C./D.C. models 50XC "Circle Grill" for 540-1720 kHz (kc) with 10 inch "Aero-Vane" Loop were offered in 4 different colours with a number as suffix: model 50XC1 Red with White Trim, model 50XC2 Turquoise Blue, White Trim, model 50XC3 White Onyx and model 50XC4 Brown Onyx, Amber Trim. These colours changed by the time depending on exposure to sun light. See for instance the former Turquoise for model 50XC2 in comparison to the bottom view. Some call this 50XC2 now "Greens, Amber, Rust Swirl Colour". The folder Motorola calls the material "Bright Plastic" and it gets also the creative name "Celluloid-Bakelite", but we know it as Catalin.
