  • Bemerkung
  • The Motorola AC40AG is an AC operated 5 tube AM clock radio. AM Tuning Range: 535 to 1620 kHz. Has Qty(1) PM 4" speaker and built-in ferrite antenna. Cabinet is plastic with olive front and olive cabinet back. Has automatic radio turn-on feature and delayed radio shut-off feature.

Clock has "Visilite" feature, which consists of two clock faces, one which is seen in daylight, the other seen at night.  Located in the center area of the dial face is a translucent ring which has opaque numerals super-imposed on its back side.  Located behind this center area is a plastic disc which is edge lit by a neon lamp.  The ring and numerals cannot be seen in daylight.  At night, however, the neon-lit plastic disc causes the translucent ring to glow softly and since the clock numerals and hands are silhoutted against it, the time is clearly visible.

The following models use the same schematic and cabinet but have different cabinet colors:

Model Number Cabinet Back Color Cabinet Front Color
    AC40AB Blue White
    AC40AG Olive Olive
    AC40AW White White
