- Notes
-
The Motorola BC4E is an AC operated 7 tube AM/FM clock radio. AM Tuning Range: 535 to 1620 kHz. FM Tuning range: 88 to 108MHz. Has Qty(1) PM 5" speaker. Has built-in ferrite antenna for AM and a 36" wire for the FM antenna. Uses silicon diode for rectifier in power supply. Cabinet color is black. Has automatic radio turn-on feature and delayed radio shut-off feature.
Clock has "Visilite" feature, which consists of two clock faces, one which is seen in daylight, the other seen at night. Located in the center area of the dial face is a translucent ring which has opaque numerals super-imposed on its back side. Located behind this center area is a plastic disc which is edge lit by a neon lamp. The ring and numerals cannot be seen in daylight. At night, however, the neon-lit plastic disc causes the translucent ring to glow softly and since the clock numerals and hands are silhoutted against it, the time is clearly visible.
