  • The Motorola X80 is an AC or battery operated, solid state BC and FM band receiver.  Has 10 transistors, 5 diodes, a voltage/temperature sensitive diode and a full wave selenium rectifier.  The radio is powered by either Qty(6) 1.5v Eveready #1015 batteries (or equivalent) or by 120VAC.  A ferrite antenna is used for the AM antenna, and a collapsible monopole antenna used for FW reception.  An earphone jack is provided on the side of the radio, which when used, disconnects the speaker for private listening.

    AM tuning range is 535 to 1620kHz.  FM tuning range is 88 to 108MHz.
