Saludos

Michael Watterson

The S6R7 is, I think,  a Plessey 6V vibrator pack. I think a syncronous type, so the EZ40 would then only be for AC Line mains and the DC would be a 6V car battery (6V car electrics common in 1930s to 1950s, the VW Beetle perhaps the last in Europe to use 6V)  See Zerhacker listing which is a generic entry.

The Vibrator packs where commonly used in car radios from 1930s to 1950s. This model of radio is likely an export only type as UK domestic battery radio would use 2V or 1.4V battery valves, dry cell 90V to 120V HT and have longwave before transistor models replaced them entirely.
