Die Schallplattenaufnahmemaschinen der Typen AM31a, AM32, AM32a, und AM32b haben das selbe Grundgerät, sind aber mit unterschiedlichen Zusatzgeräten und Funktionen ausgestattet, siehe Preisliste. Die ersten Maschinen dieses Typs (AM31) sind im RM.org mit Ende der 30er Jahre datiert, die Unterlagen des AM31a sind aus einem Prospekt aus dem Jahre 1958 entnommen. Mir ist nicht bekannt, ob in diesem Zeitraum eine technische Weiterentwicklung erfolgt ist.
