  • The Northern Electric R-107 Power Amplifier was initially designed for the 208A tubes but was quickly changed to the 216A power amplifier tubes. This power amplifier was Norther Electrics version of the Western Electric 7A Amplifier. This power amplifier could drive a loud speaker. The NE R-107 Power amplifier is a two stage audio amplifier with 216A tubes (originally 208A) acting as a driver with a push-pull output.
