  • Anotaciones
  • Northome Model X battery radio. This is a fairly rare radio, even in Minnesota where it was manufactured in the 1920s. It has a heavy solid wood cabinet, reportedly made of wood from trees near the town of Northome Minnesota. The front panel is maroon/ black marbled bakelite with etched knob labels, logo, and a decorative line around the edge. Tuning was accomplished using the two Kilograd vernier dials. Looking inside, I see the chassis has 6 tubes; two grid-leak resistors; one single-section tuning condenser; a two-section tuning condenser; connectors for antenna, ground, and horn speaker; and a battery cable with metal tags on each wire that indicates what battery the wire should connect to.
