The Perry Radio Blinker Receiving Set Three-In-One combines three functions into one model:
- Wireless Receiving Set (crystal receiver)
- 375-2000 kHz range (150-800 m)
- dust-proof crystal detector, extremely sensitive
- tuning coil with multiple taps
- Miniature Sending Set (morse code transmitter)
- transmission range within the limits of the buzzer gap RF-radiation
- Practice Set for Code Work
- key and buzzer
Connections for aerial, ground, and headphones.
The receiver is the same as the Perry Radio Blinker Receiving Set.
The Miniature Sending Set uses a key, buzzer, and internal Eveready 3V battery. The RF code transmission relies on the arcing of the buzzer contact gap to generate a very low-power, wideband RF static signal that may be picked up by the antenna wire and crystal receiver, or perhaps by another nearby crystal receiver. With two Three-In-One units it is possible to practice bidirectional code between them, subject to the limited buzzer RF transmission range.
When one Three-In-One unit is used, the operator listens to their own code signals.
