The Liniplex F2 was introduced by Phase Track Ltd. in 1989 as the successor to the Liniplex F1. It continued the company’s focus on professional HF broadcast monitoring and rebroadcast applications, offering improved performance and flexibility.
The receiver featured double‑conversion superheterodyne circuitry and a refined synchronous demodulation system, providing distortion‑free audio even under severe fading conditions. Eight fixed crystal‑controlled channels were available, with an additional “EXT OSC” position enabling connection to the optional OSC‑1 Synthesiser, which allowed continuous tuning from 2 to 22 MHz.
The Liniplex F2 was housed in a high‑quality blue aluminium cabinet and supplied to BBC World Service relay stations and British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) installations worldwide. Production ceased around 1991, marking the end of Phase Track’s Liniplex series.

In their prospect, Phase Track states that Liniplex receivers are used by the British Forces Boradcasting Service for "Off Air" broadcast relays of the World Service in the Falklands, Belize, Gibraltar, Cyprus, Hong Kong and Nepal.
Off course, these "Off Air" relays probably have been moved to satellite and internet streaming services to serve remaining local BFBS stations.
