  • Bemerkung
  • The Philco model 37-611 series (1936-37) is the follow-on to the model 611 series (1935-36). Like the earlier 611 series, the 37-611 series uses a 5-tube 3-band AC-DC chassis. The 37-611 chassis is similar to the 37-610 chassis, but with an AC-DC power supply (similar to the relationship between the 610 and 611 chassis of the previous year). Band coverage is BC, 2.3-7.4 MHz, and 7.35-22 MHz.

The 37-611 series has eight distinct models with different cabinet styles, several of which are shared with the 37-610 series.

There are two versions of the 37-611B tombstone -- an early version with a shouldered profile, and a late version with a rectangular profile.

Both the early and late versions of the 37-611T table radio have a rounded left side. The early version has a speaker opening similar to a lower case Greek "sigma" with three horizontal bars in the upper half of the opening, and a round lower portion. The late version is very similar, except that the bars through the speaker opening have a roughly square "S" shape and extend into the lower part of the opening.

The early version of the 37-611F floor-type console has a tulip design in the speaker opening. The late version of 37-611F has a large rectangular speaker opening with three vertical bars centered in front of the speaker.

Model 37-611J is another floor-type console, with slightly trapezoidal profile and three vertical bars in front of a small rectangular speaker opening with rounded corners.

Model 37-611K is the fourth floor-type console in the series, with rounded edges on the front left and right, and vertical and diagonal bars through the speaker opening in a pattern reminiscent of the shaft and feathers of an arrow, pointing downward.
