• Bemerkung
• Model 490 combines a model 90 superheterodyne chassis with a model 4 short wave converter in a console cabinet. The SW converter and main radio chassis each have separate dials on the front of the cabinet. The cabinet is similar to model 470 (which is a similar design based on a model 70 chassis instead of model 90). There are three SW bands: 1.5 - 3.6 MHz, 3.6 - 8.5 MHz, and 8.5 - 19.0 MHz. When operating on SW, the radio functions as a double conversion receiver, with the SW converter feeding a 1000 kHz signal to the input of the BC receiver chassis.
