Note that the Beitman's layout has the pin numbering for the vacuum tubes (valves) going in the opposite direction. This is a top view with the pins numbered as if it were a bottom view.

A schematic for the C-581 does not appear to be available, but the C-583 is identical to the physical radio that I have, so I have uploaded it as a reference.
