  • Modello: Philco 37-61EZ Code 121 [Tombstone] - Dominion Radio & Electrical
  • Forma
  • Soprammobile verticale con decorazioni (Tombstone).
  • Annotazioni
  • The Philco model 37-61 series uses a 5-tube 2-band (BC and 5.7-18.2 MHz) chassis similar to that for the 37-60 series. The 37-61 chassis covers a different SW range than the 37-60, and has 2-speed tuning with concentric knobs, another feature not found on the 37-60.

There are four specific models in the series with different cabinet styles. The early version of 37-61B is a cathedral with an arch-shaped profile. The late version of 37-61B is a rectangular tombstone.

The early version of model 37-61F is a floor-type console with a tulip pattern for the speaker opening. The late version of 37-61F has a large rectangular speaker grill with three vertical bars in front of the speaker.

Possibly a New Zealand specific model given the model suffix EZ and 230V (see model label). Also the cabinet differs from the US model and was probably made by G. C. Goode & Co. Auckland, New Zealand.

Marketed throughout New Zealand by distributor Charles Begg & Co. Ltd.

Made in the USA. See also US domestic version 37-61B.
