are there different models for the Philips 2634 ? I have two radio' 2634 with differences:

first mode with serial number 10175A hase no scalelamp, no tube identificationplate no loudspeakerswitch at the back and no extra loudspeaker output. The holes in the chassis are already there but sealed and no pre wiring as you can see at the photo. The ohther radio has serialnr 16132D

Hi all,

I recently bought a Philips 2634 bakelite radio. I does not need any restoration, but I would like to clean the cabinet. It seems that the outside of the cabinet has been varnished or polished. Does anyone know if this is done by the manufacturer ? I did look up some picutures on the www and the 2634's I found seem to be varnished too, but most of the pictures are not so clear. I tried to make some close-up pictures of my 2634, one I added here.

Best regards,
