Obwohl das Gerät A43U/D heisst - D für Deutschland? - wurde es in Frankreich produziert, zumindest stammen alle Bauteile aus französischer Produktion. Der DR-Pressaufdruck auf der Geräteoberseite, soll wohl auf die Verwendung im Deutschen Reich hinweisen. Auch die Sender-Skala ist in deutscher Sprache und weist die damaligen gängigen Sendernamen auf.
