  • This radio is referred to in commercial advertising in December 1962 as "New". It appears to be a replacement for the "Town and Country" 200 from Philips Australia. The 200 does not feature in a catelogue from March 1963 but the Safari does under the model name "PL2 "Safari"".

    This radio appears identical, externally, to the 200, which it superseded.
