Professional general coverage receiver with "Wadley-Loop" technique, produced alongside with the RA-17. This sets uses a third IF stage, is equipped with an external / 2nd VFO input (can be controlled by transceiver MA79 or decadic frequency synthesizer MA350B), and has higher AF output power.
The set can be recognized by the rotating knob of the function switch below the S-Meter.
Some tubes are partly several times present.
Produced in several variants, RA-6117A is the designation for the same model produced by Racal USA.
