  • General coverge commications receiver, covering 540-33 MHz in six bands (0.54-1.6, 1.6-2.9, 2.9-5.4, 5.4-9.8, 9.8-18, and 18-33 MHz), AM, CW (BFO). Coverage was expanded with optional accessories.

    The RME-45B differs from the RME-45 in that the 7J7 is replaced by the 7S7, the 80 rectifier is replaced by the 5Y3G, and the VR-150 voltage regulator is added. Also. the tuning was changed to give it a calibrated bandspread and two tuning speeds.

    Accessories included the optional spekaker, DB-22A Preselector, NBF-4 and NB-FM Adaptors, XC-2 Fixed Frequency option, VHF-152A 2 and 6-meter Converter, and HF 10-20 Converter.
