The Voceleste (Voice from the Sky) Receiver was announced by Lewis J. Selznick in August 1924. Selznick was a cinema entrepreneur who moved to Hollywood in the early 1920s. His company went bankrupt in 1925, but was re-established the following year.
The Voceleste was advertised in the second half of 1924 by the Radio Products Mfg. Co in Cleveland, Ohio, who registered a trademark for that name in April 1924 (claiming use since September 1923).
The model was sold in 1925 in different versions by the General American Radio Mfg. Corp. of New York City, see Voceleste.
