Electrically identical to the Raycophone 454ME, using the same 5‑valve superheterodyne chassis with Weston visual tuning, AVC, static reducer, tone control and matched dual loudspeakers.
The distinguishing feature of the 454DME is its cabinet: an “Old English” style unit produced by Beale, the Australian piano manufacturer renowned for its furniture‑grade cabinetry. The 454ME used a modernistic cabinet, while the 454DME represents the premium furniture option.
