  • Anotaciones
  • Complete kit including "cellophane wrapped case". Article published in a Ready Radio magazine (price 6d, supplied free!) for Meteor SG3 and 303.

Construction is typical point to point solid wires (Jiffilinx to size with insulation and shake proof loops each end) with all parts mounted on a metal chassis.

Choice of three output valves suggests the kit doesn't include the recommended Mullard valves. V3 has 5 pin base for either Triode (PM2) or Pentode (PM22 or PM22A) type.

There are no dates in the magazine of 303 & Meteor SG3, but the PM12A is referred to as new this season. Some sources claim Mullard PM12A released 1932. The Permanent Magnet Moving Coil speaker suggests 1930+ rather than 1929.

    LT: 2V Lead Acid Accumulator, recommended Block or Pertrix Accumulator PLB2 (12s 3d) or PZ3  (12s 6d).

HT: 120V (60, to 80, 60 and 120V taps). Pertrix Ultra Capacity HT 120V C/N 295 (15s 6d) or Or Pertrix yellow pack 403 (11s). See also Winner 120 (an older Winner 120 has more taps).

Grid Bias 9V pack with 1.5V taps (-4.5, -7.5 or -9V depending on valve). Pertrix yellow carton C/N 460 1s. See Winner 9.

See also very similar Ready Radio SG3 design (without case and speaker).
