- Notes
-
This is the early version of the Reyn-Rad Wonder Receiver Crystal Radio Set from 1924. This set was manufactured by the Reynolds Radio Corp, Denver Colorado. It has a gloss Bakelite front panel and is housed in a wooden cabinet, painted with black wrinkle paint. At first glance the cabinet looks like it is covered with the black wrinkle paper used on suitcase style Zenith Trans Oceanics, but closer examination reveals that the wooden cabinet is covered with black wrinkle paint.
Tuning is accomplished by a variable condenser controlled by a Bakelite dial. The detector is a cat whisker type as opposed to the fixed detector on the later Wonder Model A crystal set.
Front panel connections are provided for phones ground, and for three different lengths of antenna, thereby providing the best match.
