Der Generator erzeugt die Sinusschwingung mit einem Wien-Robinson-Brückenoszillator, dessen Amplitude mit einer Glühlampe (als PTC) stabilisiert wird. Das Rechteck wird daraus mit einem diskret aufgebautem Schmitt-Trigger gebildet.
Der Frequenzbereich reicht von 10 Hz bis 100 kHz in vier Stufen, die Abstimmung erfolgt mittels eines untersetzten Drehkondensators.
Frequenzgenauigkeit: ±2%, max. Ausgangsspannung mit 600 Ω Last: +9 dB, Ausgangsimpedanz: ca. 700 Ω, Klirrfaktor <0,3% von 200 Hz bis 100 kHz und <0,8% von 10Hz bis 100kHz, Rechteck-Anstiegszeit: 0,2 µS
