  • Anotaciones
  • The Savage 85 was an Australian-made guitar amplifier produced in the early 1970s by Soundlab Musical.
Designed to deliver 85 watts RMS, the Savage 85, however, suffered from design limitations. Its output stage, using a pair of 2N3055 transistors, was inadequate for the claimed power output. Additionally, the quasi-complementary driver stage further hindered its performance.

Despite its ambitious design, the Savage 85 faced reliability issues and failed to meet expectations. Today, it's primarily of interest to collectors and enthusiasts of vintage Australian music equipment.

Piggybacked to a speaker cabinet with 4, 12" speakers.

It is also available as the SB85 Bass or Organ amplifier.
