    • A separate internal battery for negative grid voltage is always present, even when fed with a power supply.
    • The S.O.85 - 1st generation, also known as Super Ondolina 27, has knobs with reductions for finetuning and no tuning scales.
    • The S.O.85 - 2nd generation, also known as Super Ondolina 28, has little brass tuning knobs and tuning scales behind little windows.
    • Both generations of this radio can also be used with a Recta power supply.
