• The Sears Silvertone 1660 (2 Knob Version) is a cathedral type midget 5-tube superheterodyne radio with broadcast reception (175 to 550 meters). It has a 3-gang condenser with RF stage. Cabinet is walnut finished with walnut veneer front.

  The chassis from this model is also used in model Silvertone 7056.

  Note: The 1933 Sears Catalog shows an illustration of the radio having just 2 knobs. However the parts list has a separate ON/OFF power switch listed and all existing known versions of this model have 3 knobs.  Thus it can be assumed that the 2 Knob Version was never produced.
