  • The Sears Silvertone 1835 is an AC operated 9 tube BC and SW band receiver.  Has AVC, 2 IF stages and push-pull output stage.  Riders has IF at 456kHz while Sears Silvertone Service Manual 1928 thru 1936 has IF at 445kHz (These are close so it should not make much difference which one is actually used for alignment).

    Band Frequency Ranges are as follows:
    BC Band.............545-1713kHz
    SW Band............5.8-17.9MHz

    Catalog States: Equipped with dual control which makes possible the positive tuning of hard-to-get foreign stations.  One control, like the hour hand of a watch, is tuned to the general position of the station you want, and the minute hand control is then used to exactly locate the station.

    The Cabinet is of choice wood veneers with instrument panel of matched walnut.  Side front panels of striped walnut veneers, remainder walnut finished.  Aerial kit included.
