  • Anotaciones
  • This Sears Silvertone 1323 or 1328 is the superhet with the old chassis, having the knobs in a "v" (triangle, top down), 3 tubes 35. We have found photos in the RAF forum of somebody who wanted to sell the set. Unfortunately the sticker can not reylly be read, but the model stamp is 132?, the 4th digit could be a 0, 3 or 8, maybe 9. But the tube layout shows the chassis of this type of Superhet. We hope to get further information in the future- to help all collectors who are looking for a photo and more information. Sie also Silvertone 1320 with the same chassis for more information.

The design of this old chassis was changed from a cathode mixer to a grid mixer, later a new chassis was made with a straight knob arrangement. Don't confuse with this Silvertone 1320 with the newer chassis with knobs in a straight line.
See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc.

The Sears book "Service information 1928 thru 1936" shows on page 186 the same schematic for the models 1320, 1322, 1324 and 1450. See this special text about first Silvertone superhets. Some of these Silvertone radios (1320, 1324, 1326 with X) were available with a later chassis with knobs arranged in a straight line, with two tubes 35 only.
