  • Notes
  • The Sears Silvertone 1842 is an AC operated 9 tube BC and SW band receiver.  Has AVC and 2 IF stages.

Chassis and schematic used in this model also used in model 1840. Riders Sears 6-37, 38, 39 schematic is for model 1840 but Sears Silvertone Service Manual 1928 thru 1936 confirms that models 1840 and 1842 use the same schematic, thus Riders schematic is valid for this model.

See details and summaries about Sears catalogs etc. This model was manufactured for Sears by Colonial Radio Corp., Buffalo, NY (Sears Manufacturer Source Number Code 101).
