  • Models 542S & 542R

    These are AC, dual-wave mantel models, Model 542S being housed in a horizontal and 542R in an upright mantel cabinet as illustrated. Each is built on a compact chassis and is provided with a large, fully edge-lit, multi-colored dial, glass bezel, and black Bakelite escutcheon with inlaid medallion.

    Except for the cabinet design these models are identical, so that the review given below on a Model 542R submitted to "Radio World" last month for test, applies equally well to both receivers.
