I recently aquired an SPM-3 in excellent condition, except it does not work on either selective or wideband. Fuses are OK.

Meter pointer jumps when unit is switced on.

I do have the schematics. I wondered if others have had this issue and what the problem was.

I am thinking the input amplifier 1st transistor??

Not sure where to start.
