  • There are three models that are versions of the Tele-Tone 156. The schematics are very similar with many of same part numbers (the D3810 adds AC to DC circuitry). The plastic cases are physically identical with the only differences being (1) an engraved name change from "TELE-TONE" to "TRUETONE", (2) a color change to the D3810 case, and (3) knob color changes. Tele-Tone may have been the "private label" manufacturer to Western Auto for these Truetone models.
